Welcome to the blog I made for my english project on improvisation.
Improvisation is the simplest form and yet the most complex way of doing something. In music, it appeared at the very begining when the first humans started singing. It was very well perceived in "Art Music" for a long time, even Chopin did improvisation recitals. But then it disappeared and it came back with jazz music.
Improvisation appears in a lot of other domains, such as photography, theater, dance, and of course in our everyday lives.
I am interested in knowing what the process of improvising is. And knowing what makes people want to improvise instead of writing things down on a paper and playing music or acting from a predetermined musical score or script.
I chose this subject because I am a musician and I like to play improvised music. That leads me to meet a lot of people (mostly musicians but also other artists and performing artists) who also are interested in improvisation
